People's Leader Xi visits Wuhan; Propaganda struggle

Bill Bishop at Sinocism People's Leader Xi visits Wuhan; Propaganda struggle Bill Bishop Mar 10 The rumors were true, Xi Jinping did finally visit Wuhan. He did not quite declare victory in the “people’s war” on the virus but his trip is clearly a sign he believes victory is within reach. Wang Huning accompanied him. Xi started his visit at a command center next to the Huoshenshan hospital, where he talked over video link with medical workers and patients in the hospital. Xi upgraded his face mask from the simple surgical mask he has worn in Beijing to a better 3M N95 one. Victory in the people’s war over the virus may be the "wartime experience" Xi has lacked to fully elevate him past Deng to at least equal standing with Mao Zedong. I will guess it will be the achievement that finally gets him the full "People's Leader" mantle. Xinhua today posted a short video -   人民领袖 指挥决战-新华网 -The People's Leader Commanding the decisive battle". The worse the ou

Current Balochistan Date:  11 Mar 2020 Author:  Admin 0 “The problems of Baloch women are rooted in slavery and colonial system of Pakistan” said Dil Murad Baloch on the occasion of 8 March International day for the women. The Central Information Secretary of the Baloch National Movement in a statement on the occasion of the “International Day of Women” said that every year the world observes the “International Day of Women” on 8th march with great intensity. The purpose of celebrating this day is to pay tribute to the historical struggle of women and their rights. While observing a particular day for women and the Women March indicates that humanity requires centuries to gain equality. This is not only a world issue but a humanitarian dilemma for the entire humanity. But, in countries like Pakistan, women march is directionless as well as clueless. It is void of any message, objective and empathy for the women of the oppressed classes. If the motive of the march was women’s rights in

Busiest U.S. Port for China Trade Says Coronavirus Hits Volume

By  Reuters March 10, 2020,  7:05 p.m.  (Reuters) - Cargo volumes at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the No. 1 gateway for ocean trade with China, dropped sharply in February due to the coronavirus outbreak and lingering effects from the U.S.-China trade war, port operators said on Tuesday. The spread of the deadly virus known as COVID-19 shut down cities and factories in China for weeks, disrupting ocean and air shipments and roiling global supply chains. China is a vital link in the shipping sector, transporting everything from food to mobile phones and apparel to auto parts. Total volume of cargo containers - known as 20-foot equivalent units, or TEUs - moved by terminal operators and dockworkers dropped 22.9% at the larger Port of Los Angeles, where 55% of container "lifts" are tied to China. The adjacent Port of Long Beach reported a year-over-year drop of 9.8% for February. "We are more interconnected than ever with our global partners so it's no surpr

He concludes that countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and China's neighboring countries should seek for other geopolitical and diplomatic choices. No conclusion has been reached about the origin of the virus, as work on tracing the source of the virus is still underway. Some countries, including the US, have reported confirmed cases without any clear link to Wuhan or China.  The New York Times reported that a married couple, who had no history of direct contact with Chinese people tested positive for the coronavirus

Miserable life of Baloch women   Dilshad Baluch 11 hours ago From the very existence of the world to the present days, Baloch girls have not been allowed to do anything except domestic work. When a girl in Balochistan tried to move forward with her purpose and a positive mindset, she was humiliated, blackmailed and declared as a disobedient and ignorant girl. So far, there has just been a great change for Baloch girls; in the past, the uneducated parents didn’t allow them to get education but now the educated Professors and Vice Chancellor harass them to stay away from education. In all the developed countries of the world, girls have complete freedom of expression, and they have played an important role in the development of their country. For example, in Finland, the prime minister is a 34-year-old woman “Sanna Marin” and there have been total 79 female cabinet ministers out of which three have served as Prime Minister. In addition, there are many other countries in the world where women are th
