Was a Pakistani Ex-Colonel ‘Kidnapped’ as a Swap for Cmdr Jadhav?

https://www.thequint.com/india/2017/04/11/kulbhushan-jadhav-pakistan-death-sentence-col-habib-zahir | 5 min read Chandan Nandy Yesterday, 8:10 am      The “disappearance” of a retired Pakistan army lieutenant colonel from Nepal last week and a phone number and an email trail, which have now turned cold, point to a suspected intelligence operation by an Indian security agency – to set in motion a chain of events that could lead to a ‘spy swap’ in the future. Information culled from Pakistani sources indicate that Lt Col (retd) Mohammad Habib Zahir, a Pakistani artillery officer who may have worked as an undercover ISI agent runner in Nepal while in service, got a call (from a UK number) from a certain Mark Thompson, informing him of a “successful” job offer from Strategic Solutions. Lt-Col Habib entrapped, Kulbhushan caught

https://www.thenews.com.pk/print/198041-Lt-Col-Habib-entrapped-Kulbhushan-caught ISLAMABAD: India is believed to have entrapped and kidnapped from Kathmandu a retired Pakistani Lt Col to make it a case of having apprehended an “ISI spy” and equate it with the case of RAW agent and saboteur Kulbhushan Yadav. The facts, however, are quite contrary in both the cases. Although, it was not expected from a retired Lt Col of Pakistan Army, Muhammad Habib Zahir, to fall into RAW’s trap in such a fashion, yet electronically and through other evidence it can be proved that the Lt Col was snared and kidnapped. All evidence is available with the family and security agencies here regarding how through an email Col Habib applied for the job, who called him from the UK inviting him to travel to Kathmandu for the interview, when and through which airlines he had travelled, what mobile numbers the retired officer was using and when did he got missing. As against him, serving Indian naval officer K

Venkataraman In the wake of Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh, China has conveyed it’s objection to India and has sharply criticized the visit of the Dalai Lama. However, India has ignored such protests from China and the Dalai Lama’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh has taken pace with dignity and amidst warm reception from the people. The visit of the Dalai Lama to Arunachal Pradesh has been noted by the media all over the world, which has only angered China. In his speech in Arunachal Pradesh, the Dalai Lama said clearly that the acts of repressive measures employed by China in Tibet are similar to the atrocities committed by Polpot’s in Cambodia, when more than a million Cambodians were massacred in 1970s. The Dalai Lama has also accused China of sending wrong information about his visit to Arunachal Pradesh. Further,

Pakistan admits to roles of Army, frontier corps and ISI in civilians killings in Balochistan

By  Yatish Yadav   |  Express News Service  |   Published: 11th April 2017 08:59 PM  |   Last Updated: 11th April 2017 09:06 PM  |   NEW DELHI: Pakistani army, frontier corps stationed in Balochistan and its wicked intelligence Agency, ISI have kidnapped and killed civilians, who questioned the repressive regime of the state. Pakistan army blames judicial activism for dragging cases of disappearances from the region to the light and thus giving army and ISI bad names,” reveals its top-secret publication for Operational commanders. Pakistan, which over the years has nurtured terrorist outfits, is on the backfoot because it believes United States and India have joined hands to execute another dismemberment of Pakistan with the help of Iran. A panic-stricken country has decided to shift the focus and in a hurriedly organized sham military court hearing, decided to handover  death sentence to Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav , who was kidnapped from Iran by ISI and its militant prox

India should make a last-ditch effort to save Kulbhushan Jadhav from execution

https://scroll.in/article/834300/india-should-make-a-last-ditch-effort-to-save-kulbhushan-jadhav-from-execution The government will need to go beyond self-righteous displays of 'muscular diplomacy' to save the brave officer. MK Bhadrakumar Published 4 hours ago.   The death sentence handed down to former Indian Navy Commander Kulbhushan Sudhir Jadhav through Field General Court Martial in Pakistan seems to have taken the Indian establishment by surprise. The ministry of external affairs has been making demarches to the Pakistani authorities repeatedly, seeking consular access to Jadhav. As of end-March, we reportedly approached the Pakistani foreign ministry not less than 13 times in this regard. Our records are meticulously kept, for sure. However, the Court Martial route provides for  in camera  trial and absolves Pakistan of the requirement to provide consular access. International law has no real bearing on the situation in hand. Some describe it as a game changer as it is likely to create new jobs and bring economic prosperity for the Pakistani people. The CPEC may not dramatically change the fortunes of Pakistan but it has definitely exposed its nefarious designs in Kashmir. Since 1947 when both India and Pakistan became independent, Pakistan has been eyeing Jammu and Kashmir. Though Kashmir has legally acceded to India in 1947, Pakistan has not reconciled itself to this fact. What is worse, it sees a Muslim majority province staying with India as a threat to the basic ideology on which Pakistan is founded.  Hence, it has tried several methods since 1947 to capture Kashmir. It has waged a number of wars against India and used terrorists. It has intens

India Should Support Balochistan Separation if Jadhav is Executed: Swamy

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Subramanian Swamy on Tuesday called for a warning of strict action to be sent to Pakistan, in order to save Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav. If Pakistan hangs Jadhav, then India must recognise Balochistan as an independent country, he said in a tweet. “Pakistan is modern jungle... PM of Pakistan is a zero... Why is Jadhav being made the target,” he told CNN-News18. Earlier, he had said that India should discard the “wrong perception” that an India-Pakistan friendship is necessary to have Hindu-Muslim unity in the country. Swamy’s comments came in reaction to the Pakistan army chief approving execution of Kulbhushan Jadhav for his “involvement in espionage and sabotage activities” in the country. Pakistan security officials had “arrested” Jadhav on March 3 last year in Balochistan after he reportedly entered from Iran. Pakistan has alleged that Jadhav was a serving officer in the Indian Navy and deputed to the Research and Analysis Wing
