Iranian President Hassan Rouhani first expressed interest in joining the CPEC during his meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in September last year. China welcomed Iran’s interest and its envoy in Islamabad Sun Weidong has said that his country is awaiting Iranian inclusion in the project. Pakistan too has described it as a “good step”. PAKISTAN’S UNENDING WAR ON CIVIL SOCIETY C. CHRISTINE FAIR JANUARY 24, 2017 Pakistan continues to burnish its credentials as a state sponsor of terrorism abroad and as a repressive, murderous environment for dissidents at home.  It is a well-known  fact that Pakistan’s military and intelligence agencies provide a full suite of state support to a deadly menagerie of militant groups  proscribed by the United Nations, the United States, and others. Pakistan’s military and intelligence agencies fete terrorist organizations such as  Lashkar-e- Taiba / Jamaat - ud - Dawa ,  Jaish -e-Mohammad , the  Afghan Taliban,  and the  Haqqani Network , among numerous other groups with state protection as well as  financial, diplomatic, political, and military assistance.  The leaders of these groups are free to assemble and address large groups, under the protection of security forces. They are free to disseminate their views on a variety of social media without

Appeal to world by BNM to stop Baloch genocide

We appeal the world to help put an end to the Baloch genocide. BNM January 26, 2017      The Baloch National Movement (BNM) is dismayed with the international community's indifference towards the war crimes being committed by the Pakistani army in Occupied Balochistan. The CPEC, that Pakistan and China prod as a project of prosperity, is no more than a justification for the ethnic cleansing of Baloch nation from Balochistan and an attempt to place the Chinese war-machine in close proximity to the strait of Hormuz and to use it as shield, against the world powers, for carrying out cross-border terrorism in Afghanistan and India and for tightening its grip on the occupied land of Balochistan.  Pakistani forces have re-intensified their military operations in Buleda,  Zamauran and other areas of Occupied Balochistan. On January 14, 2016, a minor, Asad son of Mohammad Ali, suffering from Mutism was shot dead, execution-style, by Pakistani forces during a door-to-door search opera
