Sindh: 2 persons forcibly disappeared, protests held in Karachi

By admin August 5, 2020   According to reports, Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies have allegedly arrested 2 Baloch men from Khairpur district of Sindh and transferred them to an unknown location. The family sources of the mentioned persons told TBP, that 2 brothers, Kachi Khan Marri and Zaamur Khan Marri, residents of Khairpur, have taken into custody by Pakistani forces around midnight during a raid on their house. The both men had gone missing after being abducted by Rangers and Pakistani intelligence personnel, due to which no information could be found regarding them, Family said. Their family expressed fear that the abductees could be extra-judicially killed like other Baloch missing persons and they appealed to the human rights organizations to play their role for the safe recovery of aforementioned persons. Nearly 40 injured in grenade attack near JI rally in Karachi

QAZI HASSAN  |  IMTIAZ ALI At least 39 people were injured in a grenade attack near a Jamaat-i-Islami rally in Karachi, officials said. The blast took place near the main truck that was part of the rally in Gulshan-i-Iqbal area, a JI spokesperson said. Of the total, one person was stated to be in critical condition while no deaths were reported, according to Meeran Yousuf, the media coordinator to the Sindh health minister. She earlier said five of the injured were taken to Al Mustafa Hospital, seven to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), 11 to Aga Khan University Hospital and 10 to Liaquat National Hospital. According to Yousuf, a majority of the injured received "very minor injuries", while some were discharged. East Senior Superintendent of Police Sajid Sadozai said two unidentified persons riding a motorcycle threw an RGD-1 grenade at the rally and fled. He had earlier ruled out that the blast was caused by a planted bomb.

BLA targeted intelligence operatives in Hub city

Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) fighters hurled a grenade at a house on Sakran Road in Hub, Lasbela District of Balochistan, on Monday night. The house is in use of Pakistani intelligence agents. The main target of the attack was former DC and Pakistani bureaucrat Ehtesham –ul-Haq. Ehtesham-ul-Haq is an active member of the Pakistani intelligence services and is not only active against the Baloch liberation movement at the behest of the intelligence agencies but is also involved in providing facilities and assistance to other spies. The Baloch Liberation Army claims responsibility for the attack. BLA had earlier made it clear that no compromission would be made to all those elements who would mobilize against the Baloch national cause and try to obstruct it.
