HRCB urge the Swedish authorities to immediately find missing Baloch journalist, Sajid Hussain.

Date: 28 Mar 2020Author: Admin0 In a statement released by The Human Right Council of Balochistan (HRCB) on Saturday said that “We are deeply concerned about the safety and well-being of senior Baloch journalist and writer, Sajid Hussain, who mysteriously disappeared from Uppsala, Sweden on March 2, 2020”.Mr Hussain was living in Stockholm and decided to shift to a private student accommodation in Uppsala on 2nd of March because of his work and studies. After reaching Uppsala, he remained in contact with his friends until 2:00 pm. However,  his phone went off and he was unable to be reached by his family and friends after that.Further statement stated that, HRCB is aware that his friends have informed the Swedish police in Uppsala about his disappearance on 3rd March and officially registered a case on 5th march, but the police did not provide any information on the well-being and whereabouts of Sajid Hussain to his family and friends so far. Baloch journalist’s disappearance from Sweden is alarming for journalist organizations: Dostin Baloch

Sangar’s chief editor, Dostin Baloch, strongly condemned the disappearance of senior Baloch journalist, Sajjad Hussain Baloch, from Sweden, saying that the disappearance of senior Baloch journalist, Sajid Hussain Baloch, from Sweden, is not only alarming, its a question mark for the protection of journalists around the world.
He said that Sajid Hussain Baloch’s journalistic services are not only for the Baloch people but also for freedom of expression and truth and their disappearance from Sweden is a serious question for journalists.
Dostin Baloch said the kidnapping and killing of journalists in Pakistan, including Balochistan, is a daily occurrence, but the disappearance of such a senior Baloch journalist in foreign countries is surprising.
