Baloch Missing Persons – Written By: Kamal Baloch sangar publication  - 27 Jan, 2020 at 8:13 am

Baloch Missing Persons – It is a long story which contains forceful disappearances from Balochistan. The victims are political and social activists, doctors, teachers, farmers, and even women and children. The question arises who is behind this heinous crime of the paradoxical disappearances from Balochistan. Its answer most often comes during the press conferences of the victimized families. Yes sure, responsible is the intelligence agencies and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) which are under control of Pakistani army. So they violate United Nations Human Rights and Pakistan’s constitution which states that a person when arrested, should be produced in front of a court within 24 hours. It reveals the involvement of Pakistani machinery in this barbarism.
Thousands of Baloch are missing. The list of missing persons is increasing day by day. After approving the Army Act bill in Pakistani assemb…

Sangar Report
By Chief Editor Dosten Baloch
The state brutalities in Balochistan continued unabated like the previous years. This year, the Occupied Balochistan also showed a barbaric picture, where the occupying state continued military operations, killing of Baloch dissidents, forced disappearances during operations, torturing of people, looting houses and then burning them and forced evacuations of inhabitants from their ancestral villages.
The occupying state intensified its tactic of forcibly disappearing of Baloch women and children.
On one side the state tyranny and atrocities continue and on the other hand, armed activities of Baloch militant organizations had also continued implicating losses of life and resources to the state forces. In these activities, one attack, Gwadar attack, got international attention. The attack was claimed by the Baloch liberation army, carried out on Gwadar Continental Hotel. The attack continued nearly for 2…

Balochistan: a province of myths and opportunities

By jahangir kakar
Jan.26,2020 The twin myths in collusion shut down Balochistan in a state of socio-economic backwardness
Perceptions are the eyewear through which we catch sight of realities. A wrong set of glasses further consumed in the tides of time create an aberration and transcend the realities into myths creating parallel existences. Balochistan is one province which is enveloped by these myths which have miserably mis-portrayed its socio-economic potential, political and social outlook and its cultural fertility. Together, we have created these myths and only together we can break them down and rediscover the soft Balochistan. With such a sensitively significant geo-strategic location, Balochistan has always been seen in terms of its geopolitical significance. With such prioritisation, the approaches, methods and means in reproaching the province have thus been markedly security-oriented with the elemental presence and use of force. This rendered Balochistan a landlocked provinc…
