Awaran: Large scale military operation underway, communication system shut down

Large-scale military operation continues in Balochistan’s Awaran district, communication system and public transport are completely shut down, people are trapped in their homes.

According to reports, a large scale operation of Pakistani Army has been going on in different areas of Awaran district since Wednesday.

According to local sources, a large number of troops are present in Peerandar, Geshkour, Jaho and other areas between Awaran and Kech districts, where the movement of public transport and private vehicles has been completely stopped.

The nearby areas of Awaran and Kech districts have been completely surrounded by the army and the entrances and exits of the aforementioned areas have been completely closed.

Sources said that the army was moving into the mountain ranges with a large number of modern weapons and equipment and people were trapped in their homes.

However, no details regarding arrests or loss to lives and property have been received at the time of filing this report.

Awaran has been target of scores of military operations in past too as there is heavy presence of Baloch armed groups in the region. However, in many military operations civilians have been targeted.

According to the reports, the Pakistan Army has fired mortar shells on the village of Bugan Aliabad in western Balochistan.

The Pakistani army fired shells from the Zumran area of ​​eastern Balochistan, which fell on the house of Afghan son Sher Muhammad in the village of Bugan Aliabad, damaging the house, but no casualties were reported.

Pakistani and Iranian officials have not commented on the incident until further notice, although similar incidents have occurred in the past.

It should be noted that Iran shares borders with five districts of Balochistan including Chaghi, Panjgur, Washuk, Kech and Gwadar.

In this study we argue for a ‘Big Push’ in infrastructure investments in greater Europe. We propose the building of a European Silk Road, which connects the industrial centres in the west with the populous, but less developed regions in the east of the continent and thereby is meant to generate more growth and employment in the short term as well as in the medium and long term. After its completion, the European Silk Road would extend overland around 11,000 kilometres on a northern route from Lisbon to Uralsk on the Russian-Kazakh border and on a southern route from Milan to Volgograd and Baku. Central parts are the route from Lyon to Moscow in the north and from Milan to Constanţa in the south. The southern route would link Central Europe with the Black Sea area and
