Quetta: Protest continue for missing persons

The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) is an association representing family members of people who have been subject to enforced disappearance has completed 3910 days on Tuesday.

According to details, The protest for Baloch missing persons has been completed 3910 days in front of Quetta Press Club through of voice for Baloch missing persons to save recovery for the Baloch missing persons. Among those who expressed solidarity were Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB) chairperson Bibi Gul, social worker Hameeda Noor, Hooran Baloch and others.

VBMP leader Mama Qadeer Baloch talking to media said that the nation should be rescued from state oppression by taking action under international law against the state committing human rights violations.

He said that the United Nation Secretary-General’s recent visit to Pakistan expressed reservations over the ongoing operations in Balochistan, extraordinary constitution and law arrests, forced disappearances, tortured bodies and human rights violations. On the day the Secretary-General was present in Pakistan, the relatives of the missing persons were also protesting in Karachi which was aimed that to ge attention of UN to it.

He said that till now more than ten thousand Balochs have been tortured and their corrupted bodies have been dumped in different areas of Balochistan and the international media also condemns the process.

Mama Qadeer said, “We express our hope from the platform of our organization that the UN Secretary-General is committing human rights violations in Balochistan, extra-constitutional arrests of Baloch political activists, forcibly disappearances and throwing corpses from their bullets.” Not only will the states pressurize Pakistan to prevent incidents, but Baloch will play their effective and practical role in rescuing the nation from oppression

We propose the building of a European Silk Road, which connects the industrial centres in the west with the populous, but less developed regions in the east of the continent and thereby is meant to generate more growth and employment in the short term as well as in the medium and long term.
