BNP-M leader Amanullah Zehri, 3 others dead as unknown assailants open fire on convoy

Abdul Wahid Shahwani Updated August 17, 2019 Zehri's 14-year-old grandson also lost his life in the attack. — Twitter Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) leader Amanullah Zehri was shot dead on in the Khuzdar district of Balochistan early on Saturday. The BNP-M leader was travelling when his convoy was ambushed by unidentified miscreants, who opened indiscriminate fire. Zehri and three others, including his minor grandson, Mardan Zehri, lost their lives in the incident. The deputy commissioner of Khuzdar and other relevant officials reached the site of the incident along with levies personnel. The area was cordoned off so that evidence could be collected from the site. The bodies were handed over to families after the necessary paperwork was completed at the Civil Hospital. Govt. to incentivize Pakistani resident ship-owning companies through tax exemption

By APP  - August 16, 2019 The government has approved a tax incentive for new Pakistani resident ship-owning companies in a bid to boost the shipping sector. The tax exemption granted of general sales tax and customs duty on import of ships has been extended from 2020 to 2030, the official sources told APP while highlighting the Maritime ministry and its attached department’s one-year performance on Friday. According to the shipping policy, the new Pakistan resident ship owning companies would pay tonnage tax of United States dollar ($) 0.75 per gross register tonnage (GRT) annually for the first five years of the shipping operations. No federal taxes (direct and indirect) shall be levied to the detriment of Pakistan Resident Ship Owning companies during the exemption period.
