BSO is a national institution and its services will always be remembered in the history: Dr Allah Nazar.

(Current Balochistan)

Dr. Allah Nazar, the pro-independence Baloch leader, congratulated the leaders of the Baloch Student Organization (BSO) on the 52nd anniversary of its formation.

He said, “I feel proud that I started my political journey from the platform of BSO. Ideologically, BSO has trained thousands of Baloch for the national struggle. BSO is one of the most important and key pillars of the Baloch nation.”

Dr. Allah Nazar termed BSO as an institution of the Baloch nation and added, “BSO is a national institution and its services will always be remembered in the history of the Baloch nation.”

The Baloch leader maintained, “BSO has played a vital role in guiding the Baloch national struggle into the right path and direction. With the support of the nation and the consistent struggle and sacrifices of Baloch students, BSO has been guiding the Baloch nation for more than a half-century. There is no doubt that BSO has been at the forefront in educating Baloch students and awakening national consciousness. Moreover, through this national institution, the students have played a pivotal role in the Baloch national struggle.”

He said, “Pakistan and all those powers in Balochistan that support the colonial rule of Pakistan consider BSO a permanent threat. These elements prioritize their personal gains over Baloch national destiny. There is no shortage of such elements, even today. That is the reason the history of BSO is stuffed with many ups and downs. Hence, the credit goes to those devoted youth who maintained the structure of the organization, despite internal strife as well as the state brutalities and being proscribed by the state. Apart from the unending list of brutalities in the past, many leaders of BSO were martyred in the present times. Several leaders of BSO are the victim of enforced disappearance and are missing for ages. Even BSO Chairman Zahid Baloch and Vice-Chairman Zakir Majeed are among the missing persons. The caravan of BSO has kept moving forward despite the martyrdom and abduction of senior leaders, which is a clear sign of greatness and commitment.”

Dr. Allah Nazar further said, “Qamber Chakar, Ilyas Nazar, Shafi Baloch, Comrade Qayyum Baloch, and several other prominent leaders were tortured and martyred in detention. There is hardly being an example of such cruelty on student organizations in any part of the world where its leaders were brutally killed in such an extent and fashion. Meting out such a level of brutality against the Baloch students manifests the deep-rooted hatred of Pakistan against the Baloch nation. Surely this exhibits our national slavery,”

“Pakistan will never allow the Baloch students to get a proper education while developing a sense of national consciousness. This is the main reason that abduction, martyrdom, and torture have become a daily routine. Similarly, the recent “hidden camera scandal” at the University of Balochistan is the sequence of the same policy. The Baloch students did not give up their education even after turning the University of Balochistan into a military camp. Consequently, a new policy of blackmailing was adopted to destroy the educational environment of the university.” he added.

China's Raise as a Maritime Power

China's Rise as a Maritime PowerOcean Policy from Mao Zedong to Xi JinpingTAKEDA Jun’ichiSenkaku IslandsApr 23, 2014 PDF Download1. IntroductionThe international community has been viewing China's recent moves relating to the seas as representing "maritime expansion," and the Chinese themselves have come to talk about making their country a maritime power. In the political report he delivered in the autumn of 2012 to the eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which stands at the top of the country's power structure, General Secretary Hu Jintao declared, "We should enhance our capacity for exploiting marine resources, develop the marine economy, protect the marine ecological environment, resolutely safeguard China's maritime rights and interests, and build China into a maritime power."1 This was Hu's final report as the top leader of the CPC; after delivering it he stepped down from his posts as general secretary and chairm…

Guardians of the Belt and Road

Guardians of the Belt and RoadThe internationalization of China's private security companiesby Helena Legarda and Meia NouwensFollowing the build-up of infrastructure and investment projects along China’s extensive Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), private security companies from China are also increasingly going global – to protect Chinese assets and the growing number of Chinese nationals living and working in countries along the BRI, in sometimes unstable regions. Out of the 5,000 registered Chinese private security companies, 20 provide international services, employing 3,200 security personnel in countries like Iraq, Sudan and Pakistan. The impact of this newly developing Chinese activity abroad is analyzed in this MERICS China Monitor. Chinese private security companies’ international activities pose a challenge to European interests as they are often largely unregulated and their security staff are often inexperienced in dealing with serious conflict situations and combat.
