Anti-Pakistan posters emerge outside UN during UNHRC session in Geneva

Pakistan faced major embarrassment in Geneva during the UNHRC Session at the UNPosters and banners against Pakistan's atrocities on Balochistan emerged outside United Nations

In a major embarrassment for Pakistan, posters and banners highlighting human rights violations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were seen installed in front of the United Nations where the 42nd session of the UNHRC (UN Human Rights Council) is underway. The anti-Pakistan posters exposed the Imran Khan government over its atrocities on the innocent Pashtuns. One of the posters read, "Pak ISI controls both the Army and Taliban" withe #SupportPashtun.

Furthermore, a tent has also been installed outside the United Nations in which a special documentary on Baloch genocide is going to be screened, news agency ANI reported. Several meetings are scheduled to take place in the tent in which the human rights activists, Members of European Parliament and other NGOs are also likely to participate.

The 42nd session of UNHRC is going to take place in Geneva from September 9-12 in Geneva.

Baloch activists carry out anti-Pakistan protests

On several occasions, Baloch activists have tried to drive international attention towards the atrocities by Pakistan on Balochistan. In a recent incident, Balochistan activists staged a protest in Germany's Frankfurt against the atrocities of Pakistani establishment in the nations largest province. Visuals showed protestors expressing their fury over Islamabad's actions on Balochistan issue. Protestors raised slogans against the Pakistan Military, ISI and Pakistan PM Imran Khan's government outside the Pakistan embassy in Frankfurt.

In another incident, Baloch political activists protested outside UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's house at 10 Downing Street, seeking his intervention for the release of thousands of Baloch activists languishing in detention centers in Pakistan. Baloch National Movement (BNM UK zone) organized the protests on the occasion of the International Day of the Disappeared. Demonstrators raised slogans against Pakistani Army for abducting, torturing and killing Baloch political activists.

India at UNHRC session

A high-level Indian delegation is in Geneva to hold meetings with groups and representatives of various countries to counter Pakistan's allegations on human rights violations in Kashmir. Led by Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria, the delegation also include Secretary East, Vijay Thakur Singh.
