New Building Of Bahria Model College Gwadar Inaugurated

A new state-of-the-art campus building of Bahria Model College (BMC), Gwadar, was inaugurated on Wednesday. Commander Coast, Vice Admiral Muhammad Fayyaz Gilani, graced the occasion as chief guest.

Addressing the audience, Vice Admiral Muhammad Fayyaz Gilani, said empowering the local people with quality education was vital for success and prosperity of the region. He said the construction of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has opened countless avenues for the local people of Balochistan and will provide them with countless benefits, equipping them with quality  education so that they can polish their potentials.

Highlighting Pakistan Navy’s efforts in uplifting the local coastal people of Balochistan, the Admiral said several branches of Bahria Model Schools and Colleges across the coastal belt highlighted the Navy’s resolve to promote quality education in the region,  opening new doors of prosperity. He saidhe was confident that the locals of the area will draw countless benefits from the modern educational facilities offered at these colleges.

The new campus building of the BMC, Gwadar, is equipped with modern educational facilities and training aids, including a computer lab, science laboratories, library and sports facilities. Bahria Model College, Gwadar, started its operation with just 7 faculty members and 35 students, with the vision to provide quality education to the local students in contemporary learning conducive setting. Starting its operations from such a modest standpoint, the college over the years has become one of the leading educational institutes of the city, with a student body comprising 550 students (both male and female) at the college from different districts of the province.

A large number of Pakistan Navy personnel, military officials and local dignitaries attended the inauguration ceremony.
