Armed attack on forces in Hub, BLA claims the responsibility.

25'June 2019

Pakistani frontier corps (FC) personnel were attacked on Monday early in the night at Hub area of Balochistan.

According to the details received at Current Balochistan, Pakistani security forces were attacked in the city of Hub.

The spokesman of the Baloch Liberation Army, Jeeyand Baloch, issued a statement in the media from unknown location and accepting the responsibility of the attack targeting the Frontier Corps (FC) at Hub Chowki, an industrial city of Balochistan and briefed the Liberation fighters attacked the security personnel of the Frontier Corps with heavy weapons and hand grenades and several were killed while many left wounded.

The spokesperson added that "the security personnel had reached Hub bazaar by Al-javad coach which was coming from Turbat and our fighters were already sitting close to them. Military personnel were attacked when they reached a safe distance from the passenger coach." Baloch Liberation Army accepted the responsibility of this attack.

He further added that "we once again warn civilians to maintain a distance from Pakistani forces and Pakistani agents as we will continue to target them".

Jeeyand Baloch said that "their organisation is striving for the independence of Balochistan and such attacks will continue until  a Balochistan is free".

The BLA and other militants groups have been fighting against Pakistani security forces for almost two decades, demanding independence for Balochistan, which they claim has been neglected by the Pakistani state and exploited for its mineral resources.
