BLF claims the responsibility of attack on Army at Turbat

Quetta(Sangar News)Balochistan Liberation Front’s spokesperson Gwahram Baloch claimed the responsibility of todays, Sunday, attack on Pakistan Army inTurbat city. He said, “Baloch guerrillas hurled two hand grenades on Army personnel at premises of Shahpur Hotel when they were coming out of hotel after attending guests”. As a result of the attack two military men, an officer and a soldier were killed.The spokesman stated that military has established dozens of check posts and entire city is cordoned off to provide tight security to its offices in a so-called Makkuran festival. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived in Balochistan on Sunday for a two-day visit, a Inter-Services Public Relations statement said.The army chief is scheduled to visit Gwadar and Turbat to review security situation and the progress of Khushal Balochistan programme. ISLAMABAD: Since the start of ground work on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the flagship multi-billion dollar project of “One Belt and One Road Initiative," more than 39,000 Chinese came to Pakistan in past five years.More than 92,204 visas were issued by the government of Pakistan to foreign nationals in an apparent effort to expand foreign investment, business opportunities and tourism in the country during this period. GILGIT: The Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) through a unanimous resolution has called for the federal government to take urgent steps for the release of over 50 Chinese wives of GB men detained in neighbouring Xinjiang province of China.Over 50 citizens of GB, most of them affiliated with import and export businesses between Pakistan and China, are married to Muslim women in Xinjiang province. The Chinese police have arrested these women.The resolution was tabled by lawmaker Bibi Salima during the ongoing GBLA session on Friday.It says that the citizens of the two countries frequently visit each other’s countries via the Khunjerab Pass.
