Focusing on State Infrastructure
The Indian central government has unleashed a series of programs to boost infrastructure development across the country with the potential for tremendous economic gains. However, these developments will require access to land, water, and power – areas where India's states hold considerable sway. To better understand these issues, on May 22, the CSIS Wadhwani Chair in U.S.-India Policy Studies hosted a conversation with representatives from the Asian Development Bank, USAID, Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, institutions that are working with India to help turn its infrastructure ambitions into a reality.
