Why Pakistan is Balming India for CPEC failure

SK Mani,
Source: Quora

There are some very good answers already for this question in quora itself. I am only trying to add some of my perspectives to round out viewers understanding..They have not gotten over the trauma of partition. A few elites created the Pakistan particularly in west Pakistan whilst East Pakistan elected Muslim parties. None of Pakistan voted for partition. They wer relatively prosperous and comfortable. The demand for Pakistan rose mainly from the Mujahirs of UP. There were those who enjoyed the privileges from Mughal times and sided with British in their divide and rule policy. They knew their privileges will be curtailed in a free India .Indian Muslm leage was formed by them at the instance of British overlords to check the Indian National Congress. They raised the bogey of Muslims in danger in Hindu India where they have lived relatively peacefully for 1000 years, forgetting it was they who harassed Hindus by looting Hindu wealth, Mass conversions by sword and by patronage, and imposing Jizya tax on Majority community . The invaders also guilty of rape and pillage while invasions.Be that as it may be, even then the Hindu-Muslim bond could not be broken. They then spread a canard that Muslims are in dangerous Hindu India. Their leaders wanted the power to rule India by demanding outrageous powers. Being the favoure community there were no real mass movement of Muslims for independence, sacrifice for the nation, Nor any attempt to create a national identity of Pakistan they remained as Punjabis, Sindhis, Pakhtoons, or Baloochis. They had No Common Cause, No Common Purpose, Nor national identity. They were sharing most of the cultural Practices. They lacked intellectual traditions as they have been fed the notion that all that is fit to know is in Quran a medieval document whose authenticity is doubted as Quran was rewritten immediately after the death of Prophet Mohammed and all competing copies were ruthlessly destroyed. Dissent was permanently suppressed by the fear of death.Indian Muslims never ruled India it was always Turks, Mongols (Moghuls), Afghans. Indian Muslims survived and enjoyed Privileges by siding with these rulers. On formation of Pakistan, the hatred towards Hindus drove them out of Pakistan and today it is less than 2% from a high of 20% at the time of partition.. Only institution that remained was Army which was a third of Indian army because of lopsided recruitment Policy of British as they preferred Punjabis/Pathans who could behave like as quislings supporting British. That started a coalition of Landlords, Buerucrats, Mullas, and Army completely ignoring the aspirations of common man. There wer no efforts to invest in modernising Pakistan. Very few people paid taxes they have not built enough schools, or any dams that would enhance their development . They have built a powerful army using the bogey of Kashmir and danger from India.India has never invaded Pakistan and has always been generous in withdrawing from the lands they occupied in Pakistan. Pakistan started all four wars. They joined all military alliances and managed to get money from USA for their army that maintain an army of 50% for a nation that is one eighth of Pakistan. Particularly when most part of Pakistan is desert or arid lands or bare mountains and ravines due to lack of rains. River Sind is the ones that makes them relatively prosperous. Still they have taken not taken any steps to conserve water nor utilise and extend by building dams and canals. Thus they have sunk slowly economically. This has happened in spite of the fact, India has generously given most of the Indus water and and the five rivers of Punjab to Pakistan under Indus water treaty. They started four wars with India and lost every one of them and East Pakistan which liberated itself and became Bangladesh. They always got money from USA for running their Army and Govt. They were always having a love hate relation ship. They always pursued a policy of anti India Policy and sought a parity with India and expected India will always pacify them with giving them every thing and thus turned a nation that the world owed them always and an entitlement society. The Project CPEC is over 30 years old. Pakistan never had money execute it. The Karakoram Highway Was essentially CPEC Economic corridor. When Pakistan was tottering Cinese economy was booming and it thought it needed a strategic outlet to warm water port of India ocean and this will enhance China Militarily and Chinese Navy which had an ambition to become two water Navy wanting to dominate East Pacific and Indian Ocean. It would help challenge Indian Navy and keep in Check USA. They offered to build Gwadhar, a deep sea water port. Gwadh pot did not take off because of lack of cargo and Singapore port authority withdrew from the management o the port.Once agin Chinese have stepped in, promising power plants fo power starved Pakistan and Industrial parks with high cost of Pakistan. Friendless Pakistan had no source as by that time USA had gotten fed up with the double dealing of Pakistan and stopped much of its aid and became more and weary Pakistan moves. They have always blamed their failures on India and the clout it has in the world. They never introspect take steps to improve them selves. Their attitude is always what can we get out of this and how can I make money, personally. Even Saudi Arabia which was a staunch supporter has turned neutral. And is trying to come closer to India which is a larges a growing market that offers large investment rich opptunity.Having alienated almost all nations even including fellow Muslim countries like, Iran, Afghanistan it has become friendless . it is now trying to exploit the differences between China and India so that it can make money. CPEC was born out of this mindset. But opposition were never concurred with the liabilities out weighing. With China taking stock of India’s opinion of CPEC crossing PoK and debt structure Pakistan’s implacable animosity towards India and India’s non participation in CPEC and Denial of access to Aghnistan by Pakistan to India precludes any chance of Indian ParticipationWith CPEC heading towards great impediments with Cina has turned caurtiuus and stopped funding for review. This meant that they have no place left to explain the impending failure and with the collaboration tottering but to blame India

The Rise of China-Europe RailwaysMarch 6, 2018The Dawn of a New Commercial Era?For over two millennia, technology and politics have shaped trade across the Eurasian supercontinent. The compass and domesticated camels helped the “silk routes” emerge between 200 and 400 CE, and peaceful interactions between the Han and Hellenic empires allowed overland trade to flourish. A major shift occurred in the late fifteenth century, when the invention of large ocean-going vessels and new navigation methods made maritime trade more competitive. Mercantilism and competition among Europe’s colonial powers helped pull commerce to the coastlines. Since then, commerce between Asia and Europe has traveled primarily by sea.1Against this historical backdrop, new railway services between China and Europe have emerged rapidly. Just 10 years ago, regular direct freight services from China to Europe did not exist.2 Today, they connect roughly 35 Chinese…
