Pakistan's federal government has given peace award to the noted sectarian figure Masroor Nawaz Jhangv i son of late Haq Nawaz Jhangvi who had founded the Sipah-e-Sahba Pakistan (SSP). Masroor Jhangvi had recently been elected to the Punjab provincial assembly from Jhang. He had defeated PML-N candidate in a by-election. What does this development indicate?
