QUETTA: At least three people including a police official have been killed and 11 others injured in a blast on Kawari Road, SAMAA reported Sunday.
A police van was targeted in the blast, which has been damaged. Sources told SAMAA that the bomb was planted on a bicycle. Around five kilograms of explosives was used in the explosion.
The police and other law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area while the injured have been taken to the hospitals.
The blast occurred near the residence of Mehmood Khan Achakzai, the leader of Pakhtoon Khuwa Milli Awami Party. Achakzai was not at his residence at the time of explosion.
AGENCIES ADD: At least two people were killed in Pakistan on Sunday when a bomb planted on a bicycle exploded as a police van passed by, police said.
At least 12 more people were injured in the attack in Quetta, capital of the insurgency-hit southwestern province of Balochistan.
